The Masoneilan 78-80S Standard Capacity Pneumatic Transfer Valve is designed to provide reliable air pressure switching and pneumatic actuator control in industrial process systems. Manufactured by Baker Hughes under the Masoneilan brand, this three-way transfer valve combines a floating-ball pilot valve and a pneumatic switching valve in one assembly. It automatically redirects pneumatic pressure when the monitored signal pressure falls below a predetermined setting, helping control actuator response during instrument air loss, signal pressure reduction, or other specified operating conditions.
Part of the Masoneilan 78-80 Series, the 78-80S features an adjustable pressure setting range of 100–700 kPa, standard Rc 1/4 pneumatic connections, and a compact aluminium alloy housing. Its standard-capacity design provides a Cv of 0.8 for inlet-to-outlet flow and 1.3 for outlet-to-exhaust flow. The integrated pilot mechanism enables pneumatic transfer without an external electrical control signal, while its adjustable spring mechanism allows the switching pressure to be matched to the installation requirements. This transfer valve is suitable for oil and gas processing, chemical manufacturing, power generation, water treatment, and industrial pneumatic valve automation.
