Rotary Vane Vacuum Pumps: Oil-Sealed and Dry Running Models

Rotary vane vacuum pumps use sliding vanes in an off-centre rotor to trap gas, squeeze it and push it out. The result is a strong vacuum from a compact body. TSA Hydraulics Engineering supplies them in our Vacuum & Specialty range, part of the wider Pumps collection.

The oil is the pump's health report. Clear amber oil means all is well, milky oil means water has got in, and dark oil means the pump is running hot. Check the oil, then send us the model from the nameplate. We will supply the pump, a service kit or a well-built equivalent.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Talk to an engineer.

1. How often should I change the oil?

Follow the maker's service hours, which usually range from a few hundred to a few thousand. Change it sooner if it turns milky or dark.

2. Why is oil mist coming from the exhaust?

The exhaust filter is usually saturated. Replace it and check the oil level.

3. Can you supply the rotary vane vacuum pumps datasheet?

Yes. We send the datasheet and pumping speed curve with your quote, so you can check the rotary vane vacuum pumps specifications first.

4. What affects the rotary vane vacuum pumps price?

Pumping speed, oil sealed or dry design, stage count and motor all affect the price.
