Where Aftermarket Pumps Make Sense
Gear Pumps
Gear pumps are the most common aftermarket choice. Their design is simple, sizes are well standardised, and a good equivalent often costs much less than the original with a shorter lead time.
Piston Pumps and Rotating Groups
Equivalent piston pumps and rotating groups are widely made for popular excavator and mobile series. A rotating group swap can restore an original pump housing at a fraction of the cost of a new unit.
Water and Process Pumps
For centrifugal pumps, equivalent impellers, seals and complete pumps are common for standard sizes, matched on duty and flange.
What We Match On
- Mounting flange, shaft type and size.
- Rotation and port positions.
- Displacement or duty point.
- Control type and settings.
- Pressure and speed ratings.
Before You Fit It
Compare the new pump with the old one side by side: flange, shaft, ports and the rotation arrow. On piston pumps, fill the case with clean oil before start up. Check the filters, then run at low pressure first. Most fit problems show up in these few minutes.
When to Stay Genuine
Some jobs suit the original. Critical machines, equipment under a dealer service plan, and systems with complex electronic controls are often better served by a genuine pump from one of our OEM pump brands. We’ll tell you when we think an equivalent is the wrong call.
Related Pump Pages
Equivalents are common for the main pump brands we cover. Compact machine pumps are covered under Kayaba hydraulic pumps, and excavator main pumps and rotating groups under Kawasaki hydraulic pumps.
What We Need From You
