Heavy Industry Sectors We Support
Mining & Heavy Industry
Mobile fleets, fixed plant and dewatering systems all depend on hydraulics that keep working in dust and heat. We supply hydraulic pumps and motors for excavators, loaders and drills, dewatering pumps for pits and underground workings, and spares that keep critical equipment running between planned shutdowns.
Mining & Minerals Processing
Processing plants move abrasive slurry, process water and reagents around the clock. We support crushing, grinding, flotation, thickening and filtration circuits with slurry and process pumps, dosing systems, hydraulic power for crushers and filter presses, and lube oil systems for mills.
Steel & Metal Forming
Presses, rolling mills and forging lines demand high-pressure hydraulics with fast, accurate control. We supply piston pumps, servo and proportional valves, accumulators and cooling systems that handle heat, scale and heavy cycling.
Oil & Gas
Oil and gas sites need reliable transfer, injection and hydraulic control equipment, often with hazardous area ratings. We support process and transfer pumps, hydraulic power units for valve actuation and wellhead control, and pump skids built to site standards.
Power Generation
Power stations run cooling water, boiler feed, lube oil and turbine control systems that can’t afford to stop. We supply pumps, filters, coolers and hydraulic power units, with duty and standby arrangements for critical services.
Power & Utilities
Utilities keep water, power and services flowing across wide networks. We support pump stations, booster sets, hydraulic gate and valve actuation, and the spares that keep remote assets reliable.
Marine & Offshore
Ships, ports and offshore platforms rely on hydraulics for steering, winches, cranes and hatches. We supply corrosion resistant pumps, motors and valves, plus power units built for salt air and constant motion.
What Heavy Industry Demands From Hydraulics
Heavy plant works harder than most equipment, and the parts need to match. Peak pressures can be well above the average, so pumps and valves need a sensible margin. Dust and water find any weak seal or breather. Heat thins the oil and shortens seal life, so cooling and filtration matter as much as the pump. Remote sites add another layer: a part that takes a week to arrive can cost far more in lost production than the part itself. Lighter duty plant is covered under process industries, manufacturing, and building & civil.
Common Problems on Heavy Plant
- Contaminated oil wearing pumps and valves early.
- Cavitation from blocked suction strainers or long suction lines.
- Overheating in hot climates or undersized coolers.
- Hose and fitting failures from vibration and pressure spikes.
- Seal leaks from dust, heat or the wrong seal material.
Most of these can be designed out. Better filtration, correct pump sizing, proper cooling and the right hoses and fittings stop many failures before they start.
Engineering Support for Heavy Industry
Not every problem is solved with a new part. For repeat failures, high energy bills or plant upgrades, our engineers look at the whole system. System design and modelling checks pipework, suction conditions and operating points. Redundant pump systems keep critical supplies running. Lifecycle support tracks performance so problems are caught early. Where the duty is unusual, we design custom systems built by trusted fabrication partners.
Planning Critical Spares
For remote and critical plant, spares planning is as important as the parts themselves. We help you identify the components most likely to fail and the ones that would stop production, then match genuine or equivalent spares so they’re on site before you need them. Pumps that stop a machine, seal kits, hoses and filters usually top the list.
What We Need From You
- The industry, machine or system involved.
- Part numbers or nameplate photos.
- Duty details: pressure, flow, fluid and running hours.
- Site conditions: dust, heat, water, hazardous areas or remoteness.
Why Work With TSA Hydraulics Engineering
We combine parts supply with engineering support built for heavy duty. You get clear prices in AUD, honest advice on genuine versus equivalent parts, and technical consultation from engineers who understand how tough sites wear equipment.
