High Pressure Pumps: Hydraulic Pumps Rated 250 to 420 bar

High pressure pumps are hydraulic pumps built to work between 250 and 420 bar, where everyday gear pumps start to struggle. TSA Hydraulics Engineering gathers them in our Vacuum & Specialty range, part of the wider Pumps collection, so you can shop by pressure first.

Every pump has three pressure ratings: continuous, intermittent and peak. Buyers often quote the peak figure, then wonder why the pump wears out early. Tell us the pressure your circuit holds for most of the shift, plus the model code of the old pump. We will match a factory original, or an equivalent that is truly rated for the job, ready to leave Sydney.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Talk to an engineer.

1. Can I use a gear pump at 300 bar?

Only a heavy duty gear pump rated for it, and only on lighter duty cycles. Piston pumps are better suited to continuous high pressure.

2. What rating should I size my pump on?

The continuous pressure your circuit holds for most of the time, not the peak.

3. Can you supply the high-pressure pump's datasheet?

Yes. We send the datasheet with your quote, so you can check the high-pressure pump specifications first.

4. What affects the high pressure pumps price?

Pressure rating, displacement, control type and brand all affect the price.
