Motors and Drives: Hydraulic Motors, Servo Drives and System Components

Motors and drives turn hydraulic and electrical power into controlled rotation, then keep that power clean, cool and monitored. TSA Hydraulics Engineering supplies them across four families: Motors, Servo & Control, Filtration & Cooling, and Sensors & Switches, alongside our pumps and valves.

The pump usually gets the blame, but the parts around it decide how long it lives. A worn coupling knocks it out of line, a blocked filter starves it, hot oil thins out, and a missing sensor means nobody sees it coming. Send us the model code, motor plate or element number, and we will match a genuine part or an equivalent.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Talk to an engineer.

1. What is the difference between a hydraulic motor and a pump?

A pump turns rotation into oil flow. A hydraulic motor does the reverse, turning oil flow back into rotation.

2. Will a VSD save energy on my power unit?

Usually, if the machine spends a lot of time idle or at part load. We can check your duty cycle first.

3. What size bell housing do I need?

It depends on the motor’s frame size and on the pump’s mounting flange and shaft length.

4. Can you supply the motors and drives datasheet?

Yes. We send the datasheet with your quote, so you can check the motors and drives specifications first.

5. What affects the motors and drives price?

The type, size, power rating, control features and brand all affect the price.
