Danfoss Components We Match
Danfoss Power Solutions covers much of a mobile machine’s hydraulic system. The parts we match most often include:
- Orbital motors: compact, high torque motors for wheels, augers, conveyors and winches.
- Steering units: hydrostatic steering for tractors, loaders and other off road machines.
- Proportional valves: sectional valves that control working functions smoothly.
- Piston and gear pumps: open and closed circuit pumps for drives and working hydraulics.
- Seal kits and service parts: for repairing motors, pumps and steering units.
Danfoss pumps on their own are covered in more depth on our Danfoss hydraulic pumps page.
Reading a Danfoss Part Number
Danfoss parts usually carry both a model code and a separate part or code number on the label. The model code describes the series, size and options, while the code number pins down the exact build. Send both if you can, plus photos. For steering units and orbital motors, the shaft, ports and mounting flange matter as much as the displacement.
Electronics and Hydraulics Together
Many Danfoss systems combine hydraulics with electronic controls, sensors and coils. When something stops working, the hydraulic part isn’t always the cause. Before replacing a pump or valve, check coil resistance, sensor signals and connectors, and confirm the controller is sending the right commands. That step alone can save the cost of an unnecessary part. Our engineers can talk you through the checks.
Genuine, Superseded or Equivalent
Where a genuine Danfoss part is available, we’ll quote it. Older numbers are often superseded, and we’ll show you the current part and any differences in fit or settings. Where an equivalent suits better on price or lead time, especially for common orbital motors and gear pumps, we’ll say so plainly and explain how it compares.
Keeping Danfoss Systems Running
Mobile machines work in dust, mud and heat, so clean oil and tight seals matter. Change filters on condition, check hoses and fittings for chafing, and keep breathers clean. Orbital motors and steering units are sensitive to contamination, so a dirty system often shows up first as rough steering or slow motors. Keep spare seal kits for critical steering units and motors.
Related Hydraulic OEMs
Danfoss sits alongside other hydraulic OEMs in our range. Industrial valves, filtration and fittings are covered under Parker, open and closed circuit piston drives under Linde, and excavator pumps and control valves under Kawasaki.
What We Need From You
- The Danfoss model code and code number from the label.
- Photos of the label, shaft, ports and mounting.
- The machine make, model and serial number.
- Any symptoms, such as heavy steering, slow motors or no response.
Why Work With TSA Hydraulics Engineering
Looking for a Danfoss supplier who’ll be clear about genuine and equivalent parts? We match Danfoss motors, steering units, valves and pumps by number, and honest labelling. Our engineers can also help separate electrical faults from hydraulic ones before you buy.
