Motors
This family covers the parts that create or carry rotation.
- Hydraulic motors: gear, vane, piston and orbital designs that turn oil flow into torque for winches, conveyors, augers and wheel drives.
- Servo motors: precise electric motors with feedback, used for motion axes and servo pump drives.
- Couplings and bell housings: join an electric motor to a pump and hold the two in line.
Get the coupling and bell housing wrong, and even a new pump will wear out early.
Servo and Control
Here, the focus is on running a pump only as hard as the machine needs.
- Servo drives and controls: power and control servo motors from the machine’s PLC.
- Variable speed drive pumps: slow the motor down when demand drops, cutting power use, heat and noise.
- Servo hydraulic pumps: a servo motor and a fixed or variable pump working as one unit.
- Proportional controlled pumps: change their output from an electrical signal.
- Load sensing pumps: deliver just the flow and pressure the load asks for.
Filtration and Cooling
Our filtration and cooling range keeps oil clean and cool, which is the cheapest way to make every other part last longer.
- Filters and filter elements: suction, pressure, return and offline filters, plus replacement elements.
- Heat exchangers and oil coolers: air blast and water cooled units that hold oil in its working range, usually about 40 to 60 °C.
- Accumulators and monitoring: store energy, smooth pressure spikes and track system condition.
Sensors and Switches
You can’t fix what you can’t see. Our sensors and switches turn pressure, temperature and flow into signals your PLC can act on.
- Pressure, temperature and flow sensors: for control, alarms and data logging.
- Condition monitoring: oil particle counters, vibration and trend monitoring to catch wear early.
- Hoses, pipes and fittings: the connections that tie the whole system together.
How It All Works Together
A typical hydraulic drive chain looks like this:
- An electric motor, sometimes with a variable speed or servo drive, turns the pump.
- A coupling and bell housing hold the motor and pump in line.
- The pump pushes oil through valves to a cylinder or hydraulic motor.
- Filters clean the oil, and coolers remove the heat.
- Sensors report pressure, temperature and cleanliness back to the control system.
A weak link anywhere in that chain shows up as noise, heat, slow motion or early failure.
Cutting Energy With Servo and VSD Retrofits
Many older power units run a fixed speed motor all day, even while the machine sits idle. Fitting a variable speed drive or servo pump can cut energy use, oil temperature and noise, often while keeping the same tank and valves. Our energy efficiency and servo retrofit service can review your duty cycle and size the right drive before you commit.
Matching a Replacement
- Read the full model code from the plate or label.
- For motors: check the displacement, shaft, mounting flange and port positions.
- For couplings and bell housings: note both the motor frame size and the pump flange.
- For filters: check the element number, micron rating and seal material.
- For sensors: match the range, output signal and electrical connector.
Motors and Drives Specifications to Check
- Displacement, speed and torque for hydraulic motors
- Power, voltage and frame size for electric motors and drives
- Shaft, flange and coupling sizes
- Filter micron rating and flow
- Cooler heat rejection and flow
- Sensor range, output and connection
Why Buy From TSA Hydraulics Engineering
As a motors and drives supplier, we match the whole drive line, not just one part, so the motor, coupling, pump and filter work together. You get OEM or equivalent options, and help sourcing motors and drives replacement parts such as shaft seals, coupling inserts and filter elements. We also cross reference makers such as Danfoss, Parker and Bosch Rexroth, and we tell you upfront whether a part is genuine or an equivalent.
