Vacuum Pumps: Industrial Vacuum for Packing, Drying and Process

Vacuum pumps pull air and gas out of a closed space, so the pressure inside drops below that of the air around it. TSA Hydraulics Engineering supplies them in our Vacuum & Specialty range, part of the wider Pumps collection, in oil sealed, liquid ring and dry designs.

Vacuum gauges speak four languages: mbar, Torr, inches of mercury and percent. Mixing them up is the easiest way to buy the wrong pump. Tell us the reading you need, the unit it is in and how fast the space must empty. We will convert the figures and match an OEM or equivalent pump that is ready to go from Sydney.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Talk to an engineer.

1. What is the difference between absolute and gauge vacuum?

Absolute vacuum is measured from a perfect vacuum. Gauge vacuum is measured from the air around you, so it reads as a negative number.

2. Why is my vacuum pump slow to pull down?

The usual causes are leaks in the system, a blocked inlet filter or old oil. Check those before replacing the pump.

3. Can you supply the vacuum pumps datasheet?

Yes. We send the datasheet and pumping speed curve with your quote, so you can check the vacuum pumps specifications first.

4. What affects the vacuum pumps price?

Pump type, pumping speed, vacuum level and materials all affect the price. Dry pumps cost more upfront but less to service.
