Vacuum Pumps
Vacuum pumps remove air or gas from a closed space, lowering the pressure inside. They hold parts in place, pull moisture out of products, pack food, convey powders and keep process vessels running. The right type depends on how deep a vacuum you need and how clean or wet the gas is.
Rotary Vane Vacuum Pumps
Sliding vanes in an offset rotor trap and compress gas. Oil sealed models reach a deep vacuum in a compact body, while dry running models suit clean air. They are common in packaging, CNC hold down and workshops.
Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps
A spinning ring of water seals the pump chambers. These pumps handle wet, dirty or saturated gas without damage, which makes them a favourite in paper mills, chemical plants and power station condensers.
Dry Screw Vacuum Pumps
Two screws turn without touching, with no oil or water in the gas path. That keeps the process clean and avoids contaminated oil, so they suit chemical, pharmaceutical and solvent recovery duties.
Claw Vacuum Pumps
Two claw shaped rotors turn without contact, giving an efficient, oil free vacuum with little maintenance. They work well for central vacuum systems, pneumatic conveying and food packaging.
High Pressure Pumps (250–420 bar)
Some hydraulic circuits run well above normal working pressure. Presses, test rigs, bolt tensioners and heavy lifting cylinders often call for 250 to 420 bar. This range brings together pumps rated for that work, chosen for pressure first. For the design details behind them, see our radial piston pumps.
Low Noise Pumps
Noise matters in factories with people close by, in buildings and in lifts. Low noise pumps are chosen for quiet running and low pressure ripple, so the whole circuit sounds calmer. This range gathers the quiet options in one place, whatever the pump type.
Pressure Compensated Pumps
A pressure compensated pump reduces its flow once the system reaches a set pressure. It only delivers the oil the machine is using, which saves energy and keeps the oil cooler. This range gathers pumps chosen for that control. To compare designs, our variable displacement axial piston pumps page explains how the control works.
Custom Pump Solutions (RFQ)
Not every duty fits a catalogue. If you need a special shaft, a unique mounting, an unusual fluid or a pump built into a package, send us a request for quote. We work with fabrication partners to build complete vacuum or pump packages. You get a quoted solution, with drawings and a clear scope, before any work starts.
How to Choose
Use these questions as a quick guide:
- Are you removing gas, or moving liquid or oil? Removing gas means a vacuum pump.
- How deep a vacuum, or how high a pressure, do you need?
- Is the gas clean, wet or full of vapour? Wet gas points to a liquid ring design.
- Must the process stay oil free? Look at dry screw or claw pumps.
- Is noise or energy use the main concern? Look at low noise or pressure compensated pumps.
If your answers do not point to one clear option, our pump selection and sizing service will narrow it down.

Why Buy From TSA Hydraulics Engineering
As a vacuum and specialty pumps supplier, we start with the duty, not the catalogue. You get OEM or equivalent options, and help sourcing vacuum and specialty pumps replacement parts such as vanes, filters, seal kits and service kits. We tell you upfront whether a pump is genuine or an equivalent.
